For this upcoming Labor Day barbecue, we have about 40 people coming. If I try to keep them all in beer, it's going to really be hard on the bank.

However, I just realized that we have a TON of good tequila. My aunt works at a liquor bottling company, and she gives us about a dozen bottles of hard liquor every year. We have two entire cabinets full of the stuff, since hubby and I don't drink much.

I was thinking of using all that tequila to make some kind of mixed drink. Margaritas are obvious, but I don't really feel like salting all those glass rims. I'd prefer something that can be easily poured out of a pitcher and doesn't need to be blended with ice or excessively garnished.

Anybody (over age 21, of course ;) ) know of some drink recipes that fit the bill?

A mango base with triple sec is great. Just be sure to put some fresh lime - peel and all - in the blender with the mango. You can add passion fruit, raspberries, orange . . . use your imagination :)

And then there's that wonderful old standard, the tequila sunrise!

There are all kinds of Margaritas you can make with Tequila! I'd do an online search to see if there's any that fit your liking. :p

The awesome thing about Margaritas, is they taste yummy frozen as well, and you can mix em up so it's more of a slushy. Great on hot summer days. ;)

Nothing wrong with a mojito type drink made with tequila either for that matter!
oooh...mojitos...they are my favorite. Although, I must say, I've never had one with tequila, I've always used rum. Hmmm....maybe I'll need to get me a bottle of jose!

Mojitos are my favorite, but I've never made them with tequila. I always use rum... however, I consider myself to be a master at making them ;)
