I have a Hollistic vet and he sales Natures Variety dog food in his office. I use Innova Large Breed. Is Natures Variety a good food? I saw they also have a raw kibble now too. EVO did not do well with my dogs. Does anybody know?

Nature's Variety is a good food. I feed Nature's Logic. There is some controversy between these 2 companies. The nutritionalist who created Nature's Variety left when the company sold out. They also changed alot of their ingredients when they sold out. It is still a great food though.

Now the man who created the original Nature's Variety started his own company called Nature's Logic. His philosophy is no synthetic vitamins. www.natureslogic.com

I've always fed good foods: Eagle Pack Holistic, Solid Gold, Merrick. I've tried several others. But I did not know how well Joey could look feel and act until I fed Nature's Logic. Really. The major difference is his muscle mass and the cloudiness that was once in his eyes is now gone.

Of course I also feed a little raw and some canned.

I don't work for Nature's Logic. Actually, I recieved a free bag at a pet product show. Anyways, I'm really impressed, but it is much harder to find than Nature's Logic.

By synthetic vitamins, did he mean the synthetic Vitamin K (menadione)? They've since removed that from the Nature's Variety foods, partly because of customer concerns and complaints.

EDIT: I just looked at the Nature's Logic ingredients and I'm not as impressed with them as I am with Nature's Variety... "Dried egg product" instead of whole eggs... animal plasma? Why, and from what animal? Cod liver oil, instead of body oil.

I mean, the rest of the ingredients look good, but I'm wondering why they've included that stuff...

Look up the discussion thread on Nature's Logic. I've commented on some of these things there. :)
