Okay, Hubby and I thought we had a boys name figured out. But ow we find we are torn between Clayton and Christopher for a boys name. The middle name is going to James, we know that. Its just the first name we can't decide on. That is of course providing its a boy.

I say Clayton, but that's 'cause there are far too many boys named Christopher! There are 8 Christopher at my job! And my brother (christopher) has at least 2 other's named Christopher in his class almost every year!

Plus, I like Clayton better :D lol :p

Christopher. It's more...streamlined than Clayton. But then again with a name of Clayton people can just call you Clay, which is a lot better than Chris. Because when a chick talks to him Chris will be like "Yah, my nickname is Chris...it's short for Christopher" and the girl will be like "Oh..that's...interesting."

But Clay, he'll be like "Yah, my nickname is Clay. It means I'm flexible and willing to adapt to various situations, just like clay, get it?" and the chick will be like "Oh my god I love you!"

So maybe Clayton after all.

I love Christopher. My son is Christopher Scott. :D

Christopher - Means "bearing Christ", derived from Late Greek(Christos) combined with (phero) "to bear, to carry". Christopher was the legendary saint who carried the young Jesus across a river. He is the patron saint of travellers.

i'm for christopher... it sounds much better especially when he'll be called by friend 'Chris'. i can't imagine when they'll call him 'Clay' - or maybe, if he'll be hard like a rock it could work ;)

Wow. 50/50. We're not much help, are we?

Personally I think it depends on what your last name is, though I'm sure you don't want to share.

I chose Christopher because I think it flows nicely with James. Clayton does too, but that just seem a little "Martha Stewart-ish" for me. Hey, it's your kid though! :D

Either name will flow easily into our last name.

I really want a girl. I have two boys already. But if its a boy, thats okay, it will be loved just the same. Although some small creature is going to be dressed in cute pink frilly things dang it. So if it does turn out to be a boy, then poor Cleo is going to get it. I found cute little pink dog outfits and little pink dog booties at Wal Mart. I told Cleo this and she looked at me like she is really hoping I have girl.

Christopher is used alot, but it is a nice name (could be why it's used so much, LOL)

I say get your top choices narrowed down and then look at the baby........it will come to you. Once you look at him, his name may not have even been on your list at all :D
