Please note, the Black and Tan Coonhound is a breed. Black and Tan is not a color of a breed called the "coonhound". The Black and Tan is one of seven breeds of dogs classed as coonhounds. A mix of a Black and Tan and one of the other Coonhound breeds is considered a mongrel.
