Hey everyone, I wanted to post pics of my 2 girls. Both of my girls are mixed breeds, but I love them both just as much. We used to have Cyrus our Lab/pit mix but we just recently lost him on December 26, 2005. He had Lymphatic cancer and was only 2 years old. We believe he had it since he was a pup. We put him on a prednisone treatment, but he was too far into the cancer. We found out 1 week because he took ill, and the next week we had no choice but to let him go. Never would have thought he had cancer! Anyway my two girls, Dixie is a Lab/heeler mix, she is 3 years old and hyper as all will get! Addison, our newest addition is a Great pyrenese mix. She is 2 1/2 months old, and is cute as a button. So here they are. First is Dixie:

And here is Addison:

Thanks for letting me share!

Thanks to both of you. The lady that gave her up was pretty much into red and blue heelers until they had an oopy and the mother got bred by their yellow lab. Dixie was in bad shape when we got her, she had bite wounds all over her, and she also ran herself through a barbedwire fence, so the lady told us. She had some major trust issues and a few other problems, first thing was to get her body healed. She is an awesome girl. She does have issues with a certain dog who is allowed to run free in this neighborhood...she is very smart and trains easily. She was absolutely in love with Cyrus, but when he passed she did a complete 380 in attitude. She started barking at everyone who came over, or go hide. When we brought Addison home she is slowly getting back to the Dixie we all fell in love with. So she is happy again, and is in mothering mode with Addison.

Well Dixie was easily trained in many areas accept for her drive to run. Once she hits the open door she is out like a flash, and there is no stopping her. Our 7 year old daughter sometimes is careless with the front door and if Dixie is itching to go she will. She is a herd dog, so I do expect the attempt for free running once in awhile, whether we want it or not. She is always on leash, and always seems to look for something to chase. We will moving soon, because right now we are with my sis in law (not an easy arrangement) because my hubby got an injury on the job and we lost everything, including our house. He had to fight the insurance company for compensation. We finally won, have a new house, in which we will close on the first week of February, and Dixie will finally have the huge fenced yard she needs. Our fight with the insurance company has gone on for 6 months, and is finally over.

Addison we just got and have only had her for about a week. She is doing pretty well with potty training, but has gotten the better of us a few times. She has learned the command to sit so far. I am seriously thinking about sign training her instead. She is the most adorable lil girl and she loves Dixie. It took her a couple of days to get Dixie to actually play with her. Now Dixie is mama to her and loves their playtime together. Addison goes in on the 9th of february for her spay. Both girls are in excellant health. I was concerned about Dixie and heartworms because she was not treated during the summer due to no money, but her test came back all clear and she is back on her Revolution.

Thanks! Her coloring really does kinda make her stand out, in the spring she turns almost white, in the winter months she is much darker. This is the first time I have ever had a blue heeler, and wowza she is hyper! Always wants to be on the go.
