I made a stew to help fatten up my Lil Fella. He's on raw and not really gaining any weight. I've increased his food intake to no avail. I was told to try a stew to see if that would help. I'm going to have his thyroid checked next week. (His diets consists of Jeffrey's Natural food (beef yam mix), Primal beef, chicken necks, whole chicken legs, pork shoulder, xkalibur/green tripe, this humboldt beef pet food mix, the diestel turkey pet food mix, so it's pretty well balanced.)

I boiled Lamb, Pork, & Goat bones and 3 chicken backs for 2 1/2 hours. I picked off everything that would come off and seperated the bones. I then added Sweet and red potatoes. I'm not sure how many but a fair amount. Next was butternut squash, collard greens, celery and carrots. Last ingredient is 1lbs of kosher stew meat.
It's currently on a low boil on the stove. I want the meat nice and soft.

I plan on adding an egg to his meal and maybe some goat milk.
I have Bertes immunity and ultra probiotic blend. I have bone meal and ground up eggshells I can also throw in.

Am I forgetting anything? Do you think he will gain weight eating this slop?
Thanks. I'm a worry wort.

You might try making him some Satin Balls :)

This is a basic recipe. You can add your own variations

2.5 pounds ground meat (beef or a mixture of beef with poultry or pork)
2.5 cups whole grain cereal
2.5 cups old fashioned oats (not instant)
3/8 cup olive oil
3/8 cup molasses (black strap if you can get it, avoid sorghum)
3 eggs
3 packets gelatin

Mix all the ingredients together, then roll into bite size balls. Set on cookie sheet and freeze, then package in freezer containers in useable portions. Remove and thaw for use as desired.

I have some. I don't like giving him that much sugary stuff too often. I have a batch in the freezer right now.

I used organic oatmeal, organic cereal, black strap molasses, organic raw honey, flax oil, minced garlic, 3 eggs w/the shell, carob powder, and I think I have ground pork and beef in this one. I know the batch in the freezer doesn't have gelatin. What does that do other than help bind it? I have since bought some packets for the next batch I make up.

To be honest I forgot I had it in the freezer. I'll thaw it tonight and give it to him btwn meals.
