I think you could have convinced me that the one of them was Traveler. They look like twins!

Yaaaay, pictures! Thank you for sharing! Is Turbo (I think that one's Turbo, the lighter merle and white Koolie?) a Toolalla dog?

He's Traveler's half brother! Same father.

Love your dogs Kim! The look on Turbo's face in all of them cracks me up. He's like "I'm awesome. aren't I awesome? Look at how awesome I am!" and Smudge is there going "Pull! Run! Pull! Go!'

Julee, answering for her since she's sleeping, they're both Toolalla dogs!

Yep, both are Toolalla dogs :)

This is Smudge as a pup, he got a lot darker as he got older

and the two of them now

They dont travel like this, they were just chained in the back while the ute was in the workshop :)

Beautiful dogs! I think I've seen them somewhere else. I can't remember where though. :)
Thanks :) Maybe you have seen them on facebook??

Smudge also features on a Coconut oil business page :) Its actually interesting how many people stumble upon Smudge the sleddog koolie, he became a lot more well known after he won his class at the Nationals over here in 2011 beating many typical sled dog breeds :)

He is an amazing dog, very versatile, laid back, happy to lounge by my feet or put his heart and soul in to running in harness. He is one of the smartest dogs I have ever had and I have owned a few different breeds over the years. He just seems to pick up on what I ask before I ask him and he just loves to please and does things to make me laugh. Smudge picks up new tricks and commands so easily, I have trialed dogs in agility and obedience before I moved to the country and he has been the easiest dog to train.

Turbo is a little bit more high energy than Smudge which could be as he is younger, and he is a touch more cheeky too, but Turbo is the bravest dog I have ever known he will jump up on ANYTHING I ask without hesitation - he even jumped on the roof of the kids cubby house on his own accord. Turbo is super fast in harness and the two of them are best mates and have their own unique koolie games, it is funny to watch how the 2 of them play together compared to when they play with any of the other dogs.

**** those Toolalla kiddos for being so handsome.

Looks like tons of fun! Welcome.
Thanks for the welcome :)

Not only are they handsome they are amazingly versatile. I took a gamble on the breed when looking for my next non traditional sleddog breed when I came across them by accident about 7 years ago. Aside from on farms, they are not a common breed in Western Australia.

But the Toolalla dogs were what I was after in a dog, I feel in love with one dog Ted as he was built a lot like a good working husky, good work ethic, strong feet, shorter coat, agile and great stamina etc and it just so happened not long after, Ted sired a litter, I wanted a male and Smudge was the only male in the litter and so my koolie sleddog was born!

We do have a ton of fun, winter we focus on sleddog/mushing training and racing then in the warmer months we go backpacking (dogs have their own packs), camping, bush walking and to the beach :)

What a handsome crew of sled dogs :)
Thanks :) we probably have the oddest crew of sleddogs, George (the brown/tan one second from right in my signature) is a Shar Pei x Huntaway, my partner rescued him from a 90 year old lady who 'couldnt walk him' - he pulls like a freight train so perfect in harness, just his short legs cant keep up (I can relate lol).
