My puppy eats pooh!

We have a 4 month old pup, since we have had him if I don't catch him in time, he will eat his own pooh. Could anyone tell me why this is and how we can stop this?

It's called "coprophragy" and there are a lot of different reasons for it - one being they just like the taste! It could be that the food he's eating isn't one that's well digested.
