Did they give her something for the pain? RIley a dog from my past came home once and he was in terrible pain. HE shivered and was so quiet i knew something was wrong. I found a hole like that right on his hip. THe bullet had wedged in between the hip bone and the socket, it was a mess inside but you didn't know it from looking at the outside, it was just a hole but more pea sized then nickle. I sure hope she is better in the morning. (((HUGS)))) to you, you must be worried sick.

yep, she has some pain meds, anti-inflammatory, and antibiotics meds...

one of the holes is pea sized, the other one is about penny sized..

I was coming back for a morning report and hoping she would be better. Hopefully the site is not hot or inflamed. Swelling should be down noticably by tomorrow. Worries for her. I Don't know what would make a penny size hole. Vic had one in his side but i think he ran into a pipe or some kind of metal and it made more of a gouge then a hole. RIley's was deffinatly a pea sized hole that had no bottom. Someone took a pop shot at him is what happened and hit him hard in a very bad place. THe bullet could not be removed and the pain was too much. If you do find out who did it i hope you can bring charges against them so it doens't happen again.

My Bushwacker was shot with buckshot once . He made it home and lay down at the top of our drive where we could find him , It was horrible !!! They got out as many as they could and he was fine . Many shots worked their way out during year and xrays always showed dots . Hugs to our Chloe .
