Maddison keeps getting bitten by all the Idgies (thats what i call them).

So not only was she covered in bites...........but this morning she gets up and has loads more over her arms, legs and face.........she was feeling sick and had a Temp.

Off the the Emerg-Doc we go.
Turns out that she is allergic to the bites :(
She has cream to put on the bites and Anti-histamine for the itching........i hope they clear up soon, they don't look nice and she is so :( Not that you'd think it in this 1st pic LOL

poor baby

I can sympathize, I am also allergic to bug bites, I used to thrash around on the floor when I was young, because mom would not let me scratch. Hydrocortisone helps too.

Our sand gnats only live fairly close to the coast. I don't know if you're in a coastal area or not. They're small enough that some of them can come through screens. When they're out in force, you just have to leave it to them and come inside.

Aw, what a sweet face! Poor baby though, my son would empathize since he's a "biting bug" magnet also. Someone once mentioned about giving him garlic tablets, lol sounds like I'm talking about a dog, in order to repel the insects. I haven't tried it yet, your post did remind me of it. I need to go to the store and pick some up. :)

Owwww . . . I feel for her. I'm allergic to mosquito bites. So guess who they'll bite instead of anyone else  Old fashioned calamine lotion helps too, and the Benadryl spray. And spraying clothes with OFF! or some other repellent as well as putting it on exposed skin. Avon's Skin So Soft works pretty well too.

I was thinking.........when they all had Chicken Pox i didn't use Calamine.......Instead i put them in a bath with Bicarbonate of Soda, that worked wonders for relieving the Itching :) I would imagine that it would work for this too?
