They didn't do the greatest job of plowing the parking lot of work today.... I lost my balance for a second, my arms went up, my cell phone went flying... and now it's all smashed up.... at least it's still working though right?

and iphones don't have "accident" insurance either.... :(

Ah crap :(

At least YOU didn't fall and get all smashed..........definitely MUCH more expensive to repair than the iPhone, LOL

I hope it keeps working until you get it replaced X, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed :)

well... I have accident coverage on myself :rofl1:

It appears to be working fine... I can even text through the cracks in the screen... and since a new phone is $400 and there's a certain surprise I may be getting.... it's going to have to wait until Feb to be replaced....

That's pretty impressive that it still works, though! The Sony I have threatens to die if you look at it wrong, and it's light years better than the Nokia or Motorolas I've had. :(

LOL. I figured as much grammy. :p

Renee, the iphone is just amazing period. LOL. The fact that it's got cracks ALL over and still picks out the right keys is beyond me. I've had sooooooooo many different types of phones, and this one is BY FAR the best!

You can get the screen replaced pretty cheaply; my dad just had this done. Look into picking up an OtterCase. It's like $60, but you'll be able to drop kick your phone through a puddle and it won't do anything!

And get an Apple Care Plan! It's the closest thing for insurance they offer and covers quite a bit.

Zoom, when I bought it I asked about the apple care plan and what it covered... and I asked specifically about a cracked screen. They said it didn't cover that, and that it only covered the phone having internal(non-working) issues.

Apple makes an awesome product, so my only fears were me breaking it, me losing it, or it getting stolen.... all of which isn't covered.

And point proven with apple makes an awesome product, the screen is cracked into a million pieces and it still works like a charm... it's just hard to read. LOL.

But I will look into getting a new screen. :)

Sweet! Thanks Zoom!

So I looked up replacement screens for the iphone, and I got the screen and all the tools to fix it! Awesome!!!!

I picked the regular delivery since it still works, so hopefully by next week I'll have a nice smooth, non-cracked phone again! :D

Oh really? Because I got the ACP specifically because i"m a giant klutz with my phone. I drop this thing at least 2-3 times a week! So far, only some minor nicks to the back of the phone and that's it! I even dropped it into a gutter that was running full of snow melt and I was able to shake it dry.

yup. Klutz isn't covered and the main reason I didn't buy...

part of the limitations clause:
Damage to the Covered Equipment caused by accident, abuse, neglect, misuse
(including faulty installation, repair or maintenance by anyone other than Apple or an
Apple Authorized Service Provider), unauthorized modification, extreme environment
(including extreme temperature or humidity), extreme physical or electrical stress or
interference, fluctuation or surges of electrical power, lightning, static electricity, fire,
acts of God or other external causes;

Go Otterbox!

I am also the biggest klutz in the world and am paranoid about my iphone...or at least was paranoid. I totally second the recommendation of the otterbox. 60.00 was worth the peace of mind! If you get the black and white one, though, at some point it will strike you that your phone resembles a Star Wars stormtrooper....:rofl1:

I also had the glass replaced on my old ipod touch once and it was good as new afterward.
