My nose? ~kind of gross~

So lastweek I cought my sisters cold...Came Monday I was good again, I got my voice back and I was feeling a lot better. My nose was still a little plugged, but nothing bad....

Well today my nose has been plugged and when I go to blow my nose it was not the same...lol...Its a thick green/yellow color.....

Why is that?? Its just on the one side.

Generally when it's anything but clear...it means infections. Best get to a doc, could be a sinus infection and those can get painful!

When ever I get a cold I get green gue out of my nose when I get towards the end of my cold. The green color is typically a sign of an infection... Mine stuffy noses usually alternate sides too. A doctor can prescribe an antibiotic perhaps but I personally wouldn't go to the doc unless it persists and doesn't show any signs of improvement after about a week. But that's just me. Wouldn't want to wait more than 2 weeks without getting better cause I have a tendency to get bronchitis.

Green sputum is usually infection. It could be an upper respiratory infection, sinus infection, pneumonia...etc. Sometimes the green sputum will even smell nasty. Sounds like you need to make a doctor's appointment... you might need to get some antibiotics on board if you have some kind of bacterial infection going on.

You can get some of that saline spray to squirt up your nose to help think the mucus and make it easier for blowing.

i was taught that it is kinda good to have green (well, not GOOD) cause it indicates DEAD cells that your immune system has fought off.

Yup !!!! Human vet time !! There's infection somewhere !
