I'm getting my first AB pup on Sunday. He's 14 weeks old,and I'll be his second owner.
We're getting him from a colleague who bought him when he was 8 weeks old,but she's realised that she's made a mistake and doesn't have the time to spend with him,meaning he'll be alone for much of the day,and doesn't have the time to train him so has made the decision to give him up.
We puppysat for him for over two weeks when he was 9-11 weeks,and was hard work,but a wonderful pup,who seems to adore people,and thinks that everyone is his friend. I think he'll make a great dog.
We've had boxers,German shepherds,a Tibetan spaniel and crossbreeds before,so we've had some experience with dogs,though I've no doubt he'll prove to be a challenge,but I think he'll be worth the hard work, time and effort we need to put into him.
He was sold to his previous owner as an American Bulldog,but I think he's likely to be an AB X Staffordshire bull terrier.
We were looking for a small breed,after the death of my 17 year old Tibetan Spaniel in March,but we fell in love with him when we puppysat for him,and I think he's right for us.
