Hey all,

Here is a pic of my new 8 week old pup 'Indie' Now I was curious to know what you all think she is crossed with? I know the mother was a German shepard, husky, labrador x. But unknown is the father? Any Ideas, I'm thinking either a doberman or a rotti, but I was wondering what you think. Let me know :D

cheers Kez

Hehe, that's a hard one. There are many mixed breeds in shelters that look like your pup, including my dog when she was a puppy. It's really hard to tell at this age.

I easily see many breeds in your pup.

Hey all,

Thanx for the replies! I looked on the net and came up with this pic, so I think it confirms what daddy was. But hey she might look completley different when shes older! But it does make ya wonder!

There's certainly a possibility she has Doberman in her... But I personally don't think so. It's a bit early to tell, anyway. I think Rottweiler, I can just see it in her face.

Edit.. WELCOME to Chaz Sandman! Stick around, okay? :) When your pup is six months to a year old we will be able to see what is in her a lot better.

I will definately stick around with all the horror stories, just last night she chewed a whole toilet roll up! lol She's pretty good really, actually she came from a friend of my bf. The guy only wanted $20 ech for the pups so he could get the mum speyed. She had her first lot of vaccinations and a check up last week, wasn't too impressed about the thermometer i can tell you! I just got a speech from dad about her being on the good carpet oops :)

Besides the coloring I really don't see the Doberman. Not sure what he is, most likely such a massive mix that at this age it's impossible to tell :)

Really cute! Those big paws and wide, strong cheeks.....I imagine Rottie in the background, personally. But who knows? At any rate, it looks like you might have your hands full.....that expression! LOL. Brace yourself for what I predict to be a rambunctious pup. Learn as much as you can about behavior and training because if he's anything like a Rott or Dobe, you're going to need it. LOL. He really is very cute looking. Congrats.

We might be able to get a better idea as the pup grows, but for now, he's just adorable!

look how much she has grown!

Indie is now 3 months old, she has grown alot! I don't think the pics actually show how much lol. Her legs are longer...shes cheekier then ever lol. Here are some recent ones. I found out yesterday that she has alot of breeds in her family! Husky, malamute, labrador, german shepard...but the dad is still unknown...

I had to post this one, its too cute not to! lol

Not sure if you can tell how much she has grown in this one.

But in this one I think you can lol

Let me know what ya think

First, as to what I think-- she's adorable.

As to her breed-- I'm even more confused now. I can barely see any traces of the dogs you mentioned in her, and I can see the argument for Rottweiler but she doesn't even look much like a Rottweiler puppy.

I'm maintaining my such a hodgepodge of breeds that I'll withhold judgment till she's older/reserve the right to never venture a true guess :)
