Lately my life has been crazy!!! I finally got in for my surgery on March 23rd and am on the long slow road to recovery. For those that don't know, I had jaw surgery and my lower jaw was advanced 11mm and my upper jaw was brought up slightly. I am currently wired shut and will get my wire off on Tuesday...however it will be up to 6 months before I am eating hard foods again. Right now all I'm craving is a big glass of water! Right now I am eating through a syringe so its nearly impossible to truly satisfy any thirst.

Despite my own recovery, I am staying positive for my family who is going through a very rough time right now. My uncle recently had a heart attack and only a few days after his attack, my aunt found out she had 3 months to live (they had found out her cancer had come back again only 1 week prior to this). So now they are both in the hospital and unfortunately neither is doing well. My Uncle was doing very well until today when he experienced more chest pains. They now think they will put in a pacemaker which will hopefully help. And my aunt, well we will all be surprised if she makes it 3 months as she is a lot of pain.

On a much more positive note, our new little girl will be coming home soon!!! We are SO excited! AND....the breeder has asked if we are interested in taking Chevy's sire as well (as long as we neuter of course) since he is no longer able to breed. So, we will possibly go from having 0 dogs in the house to 2!!

So that is a quick update on my life. I cannot wait for things to return to normal....when I can go for a walk without my face freezing because of the nerve regeneration...when I am allowed to ride my horses again....when we have a puppy to play with!

For those looking for a Virgo update: Still the same old Virgo! She was left at home one trip and pouted by the door the entire time! I have not seen her lately but apparently she has nearly perfected the "I Love You" trick.

Glad your life is getting back to normal slowly but surely. Sorry about your family though, I hope it works out in the long run.

We'll need many puppy pictures!

Ooh, jaw surgery is ROUGH! Glad you're healing well though; that first apple you eat this summer will taste like Heaven!

I can't wait to see pictures of your new little girl and Sire! Is he a yellow as well? I bet he's a gorgeous looking boy. I got to play briefly with two little chocolate puppies yesterday--TOO CUTE!

Thanks for the Virgo update. :D Tell Mr. K I say hi!

jaw surgery--ouch! I hope you heal quickly and get back to doing what you want/need to be doing.
Sorry to hear about your family--such difficult times for everyone.

I will look forward to puppy pics--I am sure they will make me smile! Is your pup a yellow, black or chocolate?

Jaw surgery--whoof! Painful and limiting and recovery seems to go on forever. To have terrible family problems at the same time really seems unfair. I mean, can't the universe find someone else to pick on?

Warmest thoughts and encouragement for your uncle and your aunt. They must be nice people, since you seem so fond of them.

Nothing could be a better tonic than a puppy! Do you know yet what you'll name her? Is she black? Yellow? Chocolate? And how about the older dog; what's the scoop on him?

Get well soon. There will be LOTS of pics to take!

awww thanks everyone for the well wishes and good thoughts.

Our new little girl will be a chocolate ...and Wrangler is a yellow, in fact, he is the larger, male verson of Chevy. And yes we have a name picked out for the puppy but we are keeping it a surprise until she comes home... ;). Its something kind of different and one of those love-or-hate type names I think....but we like it so that is all that matters! Don't worry, there will be a lot of photos of both family additions!

Smkie, I can't imagine going through this 3 times! Once is definately more than enough for me! After your 3 surgeries, do you still have tmj issues or has ths surgery corrected it?

Congrats on the new additions, and I hope your life starts to even out soon!
