My first big catfish!

Took me about 25 mins to get her in and about 10 seconds to let her go.

It actually tried to eat my arm but I wasn't having it.

Nope I caught it with a rod and reel. I am deathly afraid of turtles and couldnt imagine sticking my hand in some hole that could contain the biggest snapping turtle I have ever seen.

oh...here I was thinking due to your arm comment you actually went down and grabbed her, in her own house LOL. You have 10 fingers...losing one or two isn't going to really limit you much...ask any noodler. LMAO.

I swear, when they get to that size, they surpass 'ugly'.....I stick to the bass, walleye, muskellunge and trout thanks, but, congratulations all the same!!

Awesome! Did it do the famous catfish grunt? I love to hear them do that.

I know we have some ginormous catfish in some area ponds, but I've never caught one that size.

And I hear ya on noodling..not for me either! I'll stick to being on shore with a rod, lol. Especially after seeing some of the snapping turtles I've pulled out of the ponds, no thank you!!

Holy cow! Nice catch! That's the largest catfish I've seen in quite awhile. I wish I could catch one that big, but I always end up with the tiny 6-inchers. *sigh* I've never had good luck with catfish.
