Well I got a nice big surprise for Easter!

For the past week Mark has been receiving and making calls to his ex-girlfriend. He did not mention to me anything about these calls and he was actually hiding them from me and telling me he couldn't call while at work because he was "so busy" . So I checked his phone and found he had been making these calls at the time he was supposedly "so busy". I asked him then if he still talks to his ex and he told me no he only talks to her when he runs into her at work. So right there I gave him a chance to come clean and tell me about his phone calls and he denied it.

Well I waited a couple days to see if he'd come forward and he never did. I know his ex is still interested in him as even after we were married she still offered him her..."services" on a couple different occasions. And I figured if he was hiding him talking to her he was up to no good.

So right before Easter I packed up had my stuff in bags and the kids ready to leave when he came home from work told him I knew he had been speaking to his ex and he better come clean and tell me how many times he spoke to her and why he was talking to her. So he did come clean and told me he was talking to her but she was helping him with an easter surprise...FOR ME:eek: !

So I feel like a complete jerk and since I already knew he had a surprise for me we went and picked it up the next day. We got it the day before Easter and it's the greatest present that I ever could of asked for. Even though I didn't even want one to begin with I love it and am so happy about it now.

He came from a family who had gotten a female from a relative or something and either she was pregnant when they got her or she got pregnant shortly after they got her they weren't sure. He's 11 weeks old and we don't know if he's pure or mixed but he looks pure to everyone that sees him. He's a really big boy too. He's really laid back and good with the kids as well. We took him to the nursing home yesterday to visit with my grandma and she usually can't stay awake or anything but she stayed awake the whole time and held and petted him and he was so good even though she couldn't control how her hand works. I also asked the nurses about other people who enjoy when animals come in and stopped by their rooms and stuff and visited with them and he was so good with everyone very relaxed and just really good. They said he can come back whenever he wants as long as he has shots and isn't out of control and me and my dad are thinking maybe we should make an effort to get him in atleast 2 times a month to visit with them and especially my grandma because she was actually the best she has been in a long time when he came to visit her.

Yeah it's soon to be getting a puppy since Ele but the people just could not keep these puppies and they were going to go to a shelter after their ad ran out. It's not his fault. With him it's different than with Ele because with Ele I was constantly doubting my decision to keep her I really loved her and was trying hard to make it work but it just seemed like every day I changed my mind about keeping her. Him it was right away I knew he was the puppy that I wanted and he just immediately fit in and I haven't had a second thought about him at all. His name is Elwood.

He has a face that just melts your heart. What an adorable sweet boy. Brady looked a lot like him when he was a puppy.

Thanks! He is really sweet and really good. He spent the first night in the bed with us and now he sleeps in his crate. I told Mark no more dogs after Ele I just could not deal with the heartache but look how much he listens. I'm actually happy though and I know the girls are happy with him. Hannah is teaching him how to retrieve and Holly's teaching him how to beg. He's great though because he has the intelligence of Hannah and just soaks up what you are teaching him with the laid back additude of Holly.

I think just I was more or less relieved that Mark was not cheating/ planning on cheating on me :D! I never thought him to be one of those guys though. He's a good little boy he's napping now after tormenting the girls for the past 3 hours! I'm happy he's here but was really nervous about introducing him to everyone. He is just too cute NOT to introduce and have plenty more pictures of him to post once I figure out how to do it! I'm actually also surprised too that I picked a male I always want female but I went into picking him not caring girl or boy just wanted a puppy that would be good with the kids.

Congratulations! It sounds like he's a perfect fit for your family. :) Personally I prefer the boys because they're more predictable. Girls can be moody and usually affectionate only on their own terms. I think it's good too since you already have two girls; it seems like a boy is just what you needed to balance out your doggy pack. I like his name too. Is it a tribute to Ele?

Yeah he's fitting in good her with the girls. With Ele there seemed to be more fighting and stuff and we think it was because she was female and there was just too many females in the house. He's just a big goof though. Actually we were watching Blues Brother's the night we picked him up and we still needed a name for him so I said "lets name him Jake or Elwood" and I like Elwood better of the two so that's what we named him.
