Me and Maddie moved back in back in... December or something like that. She is MY dog, Bailey is MY dog... I pay for, do everything for, and am solely responsible for them. Actually, we stay separated a big portion of the time (my room is separate from the main portion of the house, with its own bathroom and all that, so I spend a lot of time in here with them when we're not out training, playing, or running around).

But Missy is "mine" in every spiratual, emotional sense of the word.... but when I moved out, I was not permitted to take her. She is my Dad's dog. He has the 2 Shepherds, and Mom has little Phoebe. It is very much divided, here. We don't typically clean up after each other's dogs, or train them. Sometimes I train with theirs because its easier to live with a trained dog. But only when I feel like I need to. Of course, I train mine for fun :D (and exercise) I DO tend to do a lot of the grooming, feeding, nail trimming and general and taking care of, but I enjoy it (MOST of the time) and its what I'm good at, so I don't mind.

And Laur, I'm in the same boat... They aren't appreciating Bailey's "type" of dog very much right now  Good thing she's my dog! :p lol

Todd was got as the family dog, but I do all the work. My parents will pay his vet bills and a contribution to his food.

Maddy is 100% mine, I pay everything, but my parents do sometimes buy her treats.

I buy them both toys, collars, leads etc. If I move out, Todd will come along with us most likely. My parents don't have time for a dog, although they don't realise it.

Bandit is my guy. I do everything for him, provide everything for him. Sure, when I live wiht people I dont mind them taking him out on a walk. Heck I let my ex take him to the dog park last Sunday. But he is mine and that is that. No if, ands or buts.

Walker was mine. I wanted a dog so did my brother and the agreement was we foster for the greyhound rescue (what mom wanted) and after we took care of the dogs and proved we were ready we could talk dogs. After a few months mom agreed and we decided a Canaan would fit our family well (I was only 16 so we picked the breed out together but I got the choice to yay or nay) picked a breeder and was getting ready to import a puppy and then mom found Walker, liked him and called me. Adopted him that day and if he HAD been her dog it would have been a disaster. I payed for everything for him if I needed help though my parents would help. He was mine to do with what I pleased. When I left he came with. So did Sci who was my moms greyhound.

When I did live at home, although the whole family was Collies, I had personal dogs and my mom and stepdad had their own dogs. When I left home, I took my dogs with me. When they divorced, she took her dogs and he took his.

Teagan is Tyler and my dog. No one's else. We pay for her food, vet bills ect ect. When I move out she is going with me.

My parents adore Teagan. They call her their granddaughter. And the littlest Princess. And she is so spoiled. Its sickening lol

I have 3 dogs and all 3 are solely mine. When I head over to Steve's place we have at least 5 dogs in the house at one time but I do not allow mine to freely mingle. They stay in the room with me or are out in the yard or in the truck. I do not train or care for their family dogs and they do absolutely nothing with mine (except for Steve of course). Sometimes I'll leave the boys at home and only take Vix with me when I head out for the weekend. In that case or when I'm late coming home my parents happily feed the dogs. My mom will take OC out for small jogs because he's the only one she can handle. The odd time my dad will join her with Ronan. That I don't mind at all of course, I know they know hwo to handle the dogs. No one but me or Steve take Vix though. As for expenses I am fully 100% responsible for everything.

Even when me and Steve finally get a place of our own I think its important to determine who owns what exactly. Though its not likely, separations happen. Though we will both work together to care for all the animals and split expenses, he will have his animals and I will have mine.

Missy is very much my mom's dog. Jack, the cat, and the birds are mine. I pay for all their food, litter, vet bills, treats, etc, and my mom pays for all of Missy's. We'll both take care of all the animals, though. If I'm the only one home, I'll let both dogs out, if she's the only one home, she'll feed the dogs and the cat, etc. I do all Jacks training and exercise, and Mom does all of Missy's. I'm solely responsible for litter box and birdcage cleaning though - theres no way my mom will be doing that lol.
