Alright, its been a few weeks since my dog slowly stopped eating like he used to. I've taken him to my usual vet that's been around for decades, as well as a second vet, and a vet that works closely with a local clinic.
None of them found anything physically wrong with the mutt.
I've tried taking the bowl away after 10 minutes, and all that other stuff, but he'll hold out for a good 4 or 5 days without taking a bite, and then take a few nibbles of something before walking away. I don't feed any human food anymore, and he's an apartment dog, so he isn't getting food from anywhere else.
The vet wants to use an appetite stimulant as a last resort, but has anyone had experience with this or something similar? What was the solution?
I know healthy dogs supposedly won't starve themselves, but this dog seems to be fine with going hungry.
