I didnt get my dog until he was about a year so I'm not familar with the intial shots dogs need to get.

I went over to a friends tonight and for a few hours my dog and another dog who I'd say is approx 4-5 months old and hasn't had her shots yet played. A lot of playful biting and such.

I didn't find out till the end of the nite that the dog hasn't gotten her shots yet and if I woulda known in advance I wouldn't have brought my dog over cause I rather be safe than sorry.

So my question is, is my dog in any sort of danger from being exposed to this dog? Any precautions I should take? I ask these questions because he means more to me than anything so I'm anal about his health and well-being.

TIA :)

Is your dog up to date on his/her shots?

If the answer is yes. Then don't worry.

And don't forget about the creepy little things.....like fleas, and worms.

I hate both of them and tend to be overly overly cautious. But really not a big of a deal as I make it. LOL So everyone tells me anyway. :D

Hey there! If your dog is UTD on his shots then HE is fine. But I would be worried abut your friends dog- as it has no protection against viruses that YOUR dog may have carried into the home...
Best to have your friend vaccinate thier dog to see if it is 'carrying'. If it is- then the vaccine will 'bring that out' and they can treat it. Just a reminder that puppies need an initial set of 2 or 3 shots to be protected against distemper, parvo, adenovirous, and parainfluenza.

Good luck!
