Ok this is my what my puter monitor is doing.

Its an LCD (I think) monitor. This bright spot started in the bottom corner and has spread slowly.

Any ideas what this is all about?

really.. why? What is causing it to do this (I couldn't find anything on the net)

If the whole monitor would do this then I would have a very bright monitor lol.

Yah your monitor is dying. As to what causes it, I don't know. But that's the death throes of a monitor.

aww so what will it do? Just not turn on one day? Explode dramatically into chickens? How soon do I have to go find a new monitor?

Yes, it will explode into chickens but will not do so dramatically. It's actually kind of disappointing, really, because the screen will go black and converge upon itself (like turning off an old TV) and once it hits the center, a solitary feather pops out.

But if you keep the feather, and send it in with your warranty and the monitor, they'll redeem it and all is well.

Yeah, your monitor is dying. I'd get a new one pretty soon.

Personally, I have two LG LCDs (a 19" and a 20") and I absolutely love them. I plan on getting another 20 inch monitor in the near future. I highly recommend LG :)

How much did the 19" one cost you? My Samsung one is dying and I have to make a warranty claim on it here in a bit. Will have to send it in and need a monitor in the mean time.

Not the way I intended to get dual monitors, but my video card will handle it so now's as good a time as any I guess.
