My brother's dying - Vibes & Prayers needed

I know I haven't posted here in a long time(i miss you guys :[) but I'm in desperate need of some Chazhound vibes & prayers if your willing.

My brother went into rehab about a month ago and the doctors there let us know if he hadn't come it, he would have only lived another 6 months, if that.

My brother has to go to a special rehab, ones for people with mental problems as well as addiction problems as he has mental problems- which were made worse(unsure if permanently or not) due to his mass drug use. He had the petscan of he brain done only to have holes covering it, ones that probably won't be repaired. So in a nutshell he has to be in special rehabs that will care for his mental problems & his addiction problems at the same time.

He was kicked out of his rehab tonight. I don't yet know why, they didnt even bother to include that in the email. They just said he's no longer welcome and that he needs to find a new facility. Anyway rehab is really expensive(some are over $50,000 a month) so we arent' sure if we can get him in another one, if one will take him in, or if we can even find a special type rehab that will accept him.

If he doesn't get into rehab, basically he will die. I just need some prayers and vibes that he will find a new rehab we can afford and that he will.. live.

OMG Corgi .... my candle is for your brother , you and your family tonight !! Such a waste of life ! How old is he and does he have a family ? Many hopeful/helpful vibes coming your way. I know someone whose brother went through multiple rehabs in a few months and it's really hard to deal with. My cousin has been kicked out of two different mental rehab homes because someone in the home molested him but the staff said my cousin was lying (He's 12!) I wish your family the best in the days to come!

you guys are all so sweet, thank you so much. I wasn't expecting so many people to respond, it makes me very teary. I really appreciate it.

We are hoping we can get him into a rehab in San Deigo, but it depends on how expensive it is. I'll keep everyone updated.

So sorry to hear that..... this is one of the reasons why I find paying for health care just.... sad

I hope you can find the money to help him, but if I am 100% honest, mental health problems or not - there needs to be a small part of him that wants that help....

We have a dual diagnosis side to the agency where I work, and they can't help anyone who isn't willing to engage....

People have come back from the pits of despair and recovered before.

And people on average need to go through the system SEVEN times before they finally make changes.

This could just be a blip. Never give up the hope.

Where are you guys looking at rehabs? Nearby? If so, it might be better if he were at a distance where the people who were into drugs with him aren't close by.
