Just thought I'd share some pictures of my furbaby, Lugar. He's a 5 1/2 year old boxer/pit X (at least that's what I think... he has the personality of a boxer to a 'T'). His ears were cropped when I adopted him... it doesn't look all that great. The edges are jagged and un-even. I personally think someone did it themselves or they had a vet that didn't know what they were doing.

Him & his cat buddy Tiki, watchin' the squirrels out back.

These 2 were from out on a walk, lookin' for lizards.

These next pics my hubby took when we were in Ohio for Christmas. He's got a pretty good shot! I edited a couple of them. My father-in-law lives out on a bunch of property in Newton Falls, & there are rail road tracks that run by his house... but it's a private railroad, so there are hardly EVER any trains on those tracks... just so no one freaks LOL

Love!!! His poor little ears - they'd have been all big and floppy I bet :D He's still gorgeous though :)

Thanks Dizzy! I would have been very curious to know what he'd look like with full ears, but I think his silly, non-existent ears add to his personality and character LOL

Thank you Laurelin! I'm stumped as to what mix he may be. I adopted him when he was 7 months old and he hasn't changed much really. Just built muscle. They had him labeled as an American Staffordshire Terrier mix. He's got the lean body of a boxer, and his temperament is boxer all over. He's very puppy like, goofy, and uses his front paws for everything. Most people that meet him as if he's boxer X. But some people say he looks like he has pit in him and some don't. I don't know... all I know is he has the best personality! Love him!

Hope that ear cropping practice is not encouraged anymore unless really needed. I love that army look, he is so confident.

Thanks :)

Like I said his ears were cropped when I got him... I have no clue what happened to them. :( I can't imagine it was done by a vet because how poorly they look. I've seen many dogs with cropped ears and his look so botched. Unless it was a vet that had no idea what he was doing..

He is a very confident dog.... usually lol If he starts to get confused, he will shut down. But that's very rare. The army pic I'm actually very proud of him for. I've had a hard time teaching him to leave a hat or something on his head. I can put a treat on his nose and he will wait, but the hat thing was always work. He finally did it without hesitation and I was able to snap quite a few pics :)
