The other week I was contacted about putting some of my photography up in a gallery and last night was the grand opening. Because this gallery is also a doggie daycare/boarding/grooming place during the week, dogs were welcome to attend, so I brought Sawyer with me.

He got along with all the strange dogs no problem. Was chill with all the new people randomly reaching out to pet him and didn't even really react, other than to look at me, when a toddler escaped from his parents and ran over to give him a hair-pulling bear hug before I could intercept.

And the best: I ran down the block to pick up some sushi and left him at the gallery. When I came back, someone had propped the door wide open for air and The Best Dog Ever was just sitting all prim and proper on the carpet in front of the door, waiting for me. Nearly every single person commented on how well behaved he was when I got back!

You should meet him <3 He is really . . . all that. Kharma even treated him with an easy camaraderie after a short time, lol. The only other dog besides Bimmer I've ever known her to regard that highly was Mary.

I really hope that someday I get to meet him. He seems like such a great dog, just so so good.

Linds, I found out it's about 13 hours to drive from here to Chicago-ish (or vice versa)...

Katey would never have left if there were people around to give her attention or a buffet table. She one serious chow hound...lol

I guess as she's gotten older, she tries to escape less when an impulsive opportunity arises. But.. wiemaraners... Smart but self willed. She can learn fast, but just wont care what YOU want.. she has to decide that SHE has a good reason as well as me.

Ezio, my one year Dachshund, will run or find a way out of the yard if left with nothing entertaining for too long.

Ezio is only one
