I think that was a polite way to say she was spayed while pregnant. As heavy heartworm as she is and not knowing what size the pups would have been. it was no doubt a wise choice to spay her instead of letting her whelp. That way they could begin the heartworm treatment sooner rather than later.

I am going to go over there and take her for a long walk. She was starting to bond to me in just 48 hours so I know she is not a feral dog...just a scared stray.

That poor little dog !!! Her eyes says it all !!! Now may her real life begin ! So glad ha you are keeping track of her !!

I visited with Tasha yesterday. She's droped about 4 pounds and looks better. She is on heartworm treatment and tolerating it thus far.

I am sure she will find a good home that will be able to bring her out of her shell with patience.
