It feels sooo nice to have internet again! We closed on the house last Thursday, moved in over the weekend and finally today have internet again. I'm so addicted...I think I was having withdraws!
The plumbing in this house had it out for us. First a pipe in the basement apparently isn't connected to anything. Bill thought it was the water-in line for the water heater. A nice shower later he realized that it wasn't LOL! We got that figured out and got the washer set up. First load spun out and the utility sink backed up all over the basement. Lord knows what was down the main sewer line, but I was elbow deep in it attempting to plunge and snake it clean. Ended up having to hacksaw the drain line apart and snake from that point. 3 broken nails and a really gross blood blister later, we have clean running drains LOL! We won't even talk about the dryer that is 29 inches wide and the basement opening that is 28.5 inches wide.
The boys are loving their yard! They RUUUUUUUUUUUN so hard and act so silly that I feel bad for making them wait this long for a yard. Both boys are doing awesome at the potty outside thing too. Pedro has even started asking rather than me having to set a timer! YAY! The cats are NOT happy. Claude is having a FUS/FLUTD/whatever they call it now flare up from the stress. He's surviving on tuna water and warmed wet food. Spoiled baby. Spookers is ticked from having to be confined to the room with Claude to keep him company.
But we are settling in and it is soooo nice to be able to paint and hang pictures and let the boys bark when they play. Pedro barked yesterday and then looked at me like "You aren't going to say 'enough'?" Now if I can just figure out where I packed the rest of the dog toys LOL! They have 2 whole toys right now and that is not working out so well. Guess I'll have to twist my own arm and buy them more :rofl1:
