Mother Knows Best???

Hello everyone
I have just ordered a copy of "Mother Knows Best" by Carol Benjamin. Several people have recomended it and I have been told that it is one of the best training books available. After I ordered the book I was talking to someone who said it is basicaly worthless. I was just wondering what you guys think about it.

I read it a long time ago and sort of forget some of it. I don't think it's worthless though. I haven't read any book that is worthless except perhaps The Dog Listener by Jean Fennell. Well, even that's not worthless because it helps you seperate fact from fiction.

If you have the money, I highly recommend Culture Clash by Jean Donaldson, The Other End of the Leash by Patricial McConnell and Don't Shoot the Dog by Karen Pryor. Culture Clash is invaluable.....fantastic and I am only sorry I didn't read it a long time ago. If you never read another book, read that one.

I can't remember if I've read Culture Clash ... Sounds like a good excuse to go to the library!

If you had read Culture Clash, you wouldn't likely be questioning your memory. LOL. That's one I won't forget and my memory is TERRIBLE. LOL.

Culture Clash is also my all time favorite dog book. I got to go to a Jean Donaldson seminar last year too-- she is awesome. I want to read her other books too. I first read an old edition from the library, then I bought the new edition at the seminar-- I liked the old version better-- a bit more punch.
