I am a morning person and Doug is a night owl. We find it works out great because in the morning I get up, have some peaceful time to myself, feed the birds, feed the dogs and Zen, get all the morning routine done in peace and quiet. If I want to listen to music no problem. Doug sleeps through just about anything. In the evenings I stay up till he gets home, which can be midnight some nights. Making sure he has a warm meal when he walks in the door. Then I relax and he takes the dogs for their final potty, cleans up his dishes, takes care of any last thing he needs to.

We always go to bed together. But we have a tv and dvd player in there so that if he is not tired yet he can watch a movie and I have learned to fall asleep to the noise. With us trying to have a baby we think two opposites in this area is great. He can stay up longer at night with the baby while I get sleep and I can get up early in the morning while he sleeps in. Less chance of the grumps from either of us that way.

At my old job, my seller that I got along with the best was a major morning person, but we finally worked out a system where he didn't talk to me until after 10. If he did happen to call before 10, he had better plan on doing a lot of sucking up.

Definitely a creature of night, but if I'm not asleep before the sun comes up I'm screwed. I can't go to sleep when the sun's up unless I'm past exhaustion and generally 9 - 10 a.m. is about the latest I can sleep unless I'm completely ragged out, no matter how late I've been up the night before.

I wish I were a morning person... but I'm not.
Sometimes I actually enjoy the weekends where I work at 7am, because then I get home (it's just a quick shift where I feed and walk the animals) and unless I am exhausted, I'll be up for the day and can go out for breakfast, go shopping, etc. I like having the whoooooole day.

I hate sleeping until noon, but I have a really hard time crawling out of bed before then, unless I HAVE to.

And I like doing things at night. I can sit around all day doing nothing, but at 9 or 10pm, that's when all of a sudden I want to clean, read, study, sew, etc. Hahaha.

If left to my own devices, I'm totally a night person, much like Beanie. I can get up and functioning (after copious amounts of coffee) early in the morning, but it's not my preference. That's the worst thing about the stables, is having to get up and active so freaking early in the morning. Most people there know...or knew...not to talk or interact with me until I've had at least one cup of coffee.

Once you GET me up, I love mornings.

The issue is, I love sleep and it's really really hard to get me up in the first place. but once I am, I'm so happy I got up because I love morning!!

but staying up late is more natural for me lol

I voted the last one because I'm not really either. I'm fine with both, I just don't really sleep that much and I'm energetic all the time, morning or night.

LOL I also don't drink anything caffeinated either :p

I voted night owl. I like the morning but, aside from when I have school, most of the time I can't drag myself out of bed early enough to enjoy it. When I do manage to get up early, it's great. Nothing like sunshine and a big breakfast.

I use to be a HUGE night owl, but I am more of a morning person as of lately.
Why the heck is your husband singing backstreet boys? lol I would still probably have to hurt my boyfriend if he was singing backstreet boys in the morning :p hehe

If there are bear claws and coffee, I'm awake.

Honestly, I used to be a night owl, but I've pretty much internalized my work schedule, so I'm up at 7 or so on the weekends, unless I really try to sleep in. Mike is a terrible night owl.

My husband, who is very much a morning person, is working from home today...and he's singing Backstreet Boys songs. I am not a morning person and wish to hurt him.

So, what are you?

LOL! I love it!

I am a night person through and through... have been since the day I was born! I see mornings only for dog events... ONLY. I didn't even attend a regular school most of the time because I COULD NOT function that early in the morning!

Naturally a night owl, but been forcing myself lately to get up at 0600 so I can get life out of the way sooner.

Well, kind of both.

I hate waking up before 10 AM, and I like to stay up at night and read, watch TV, whatever. However, I'm way more productive if I actually get up and get going in the morning.

I am an evening person :p
I go to work at 1pm and I'm grumpy until about 4-5pm and then I'm good as gold and happy as a clam for the rest of the night :lol-sign:

I'm not sure. I hate getting up early, but once I'm up, I'm glad I am. That way there is more time in the day to do stuff.
This! I TRY and get up when Ryan goes to school but it's just too difficult :p
If I work a morning shift nobody wants to be around me, lol. I like to sleep until about -9:30ish, but then I get up and wish I had been up hours ago.

Both?

I used to HATE mornings. Like HATE. I still do most of the time, but I wake up much much earlier than I used to when I was younger.

I LOVE early nights :D But I can also go all night when I have to :p

The only reason I love mornings is when its vacation/road trip time, these times are when I'm up at 4-5am with my bags packed and ready to leave. Other than that, I am NOT a morning person.
I am a night person. I can pull all nighters, go to bed around 3-4am, and sleep til 11am-noon. That is fine with me. Mornings and I do not have a special bond, sleep and I do.

ETA: I HATE to be woke up, just let me wake up at my own pace and I'll be fine. But my mother has a habit of waking me up with my 3 year old nephew and 4 year old niece wake up between 5:45am-7am. Definitely not a happy camper then.

WAs a night person, all my life then my thyroid up and died on me and suddenly sleep at 7 pm seemed totally unavoidable. Now i am pretty darn fond of dawn, I must be for I wake up to greet it every morning. Don't know how all that happened.
