We're expecting PUPPIES!

Spiritus Belgians is proud to announce that our D litter will arrive the week of May 6th. Ultrasound count??? The vet stopped counting at seven and said "oodles of puppies".

Mom and dad are both Canadian Champions. Both are OFA hips Good and elbows Normal, eyes tested clear. The sire also has his Herding Tested and Agility Dog of Canada titles. I am VERY excited about this litter! One is definitely staying at Spiritus, possibly two.

Congrats! We also have some little Belgians expected, in May. Jag just got back from Oregon two days ago, so not confirmed yet, but fingers crossed. Can't wait to see pics of your little tervies.

Who did you breed her to?

We have a very slight possibility of blacks in this litter... I'm hoping there is one or two.

We bred her to Rogue Gaia Kuymal, NA NAJ OAC TN-N WV-N HTADI --- this will strengthen the old American lines she carries, as Marla moved away from our lines a bit and now Jag is only 1/4 of the old American lines, and we want to bring them back and continue on with them. So I'm very excited about this one. No tervies expected, Jag may carry terv (her sire does) but Rogue is likely a homozygous black.

That is very exciting that you may get some blacks -- I'm always very interested in the recessive black gene. I'm buying semen from a male in France who came out of malinois who then started to produce tervs who then started to produce groenendael, and there he came lol. Both his maternal grandparents are groenendael out of tervuren. By the way, I remember you posting about the mismarked terv on Belg-L -- did anyone ever back back to you on that? Would love to see it!

I just checked your site and noticed you bred to Fawkes. Very beautiful dog, he certainly did not like my Visa though lol! That's okay though, Visa had a big crush on his big brother, Ryder. Such a sweetie pie!

Yes, all the pups have homes, unless she does the unspeakable and gives me 15 puppies.... but even then, I have quite the waiting list, so I am sure they will all have homes.
