Mordy are you out there?

Mordy, or anyone else... Can you tell me if my large/giant breed puppy can eat Innova EVO? The bag says it's safe for pups, but he's a wolfhound/mastiff mix and all the giant dog breeders say to limit protein/fat/calories/calcium for giant breed puppies because they contribute to joint and bone problems from rapid growth. Opinions please

I'm thinking that on another thread Mordy advised feeding the large puppies the regular Innova formula while they are young. I believe Innova is coming out with or may have already brought out their own large breed puppy formula though. Have you checked their website? www.naturapet.com

Thanks Renee, that is what I thought. I wanted to feed him Innova Large Breed puppy, but the store I go to does not carry it yet. I ended up buying Solid Gold Wolf Cub...a great food, but he hates it!! I wish I would have saved the recepit. This is the first time one of my dogs has not liked solid gold food. He LOVES the Innova EVO and scarfs it down when I let him have a few bites

Innova told me not to feed EVO to a large breed puppy.

I feed Kona the Innnova Large Breed Puppy food (your store should be able to order it for you.

it is correct that the evo should not be fed to large breed dogs until they are done growing.

however, you don't have to feed the innova large breed puppy, you can just go with the regular adult innova. it's suitable for all lifestages and a better option for large breed puppies than the regular puppy food.
