Hi I'm skaa9 and I write you from costa rica.
Well Till I get in this forum and read about food thread , I begin to be very preocupate.
well At first I feed my pointer the first years with homed cooked food.
but well My pointer weren't rigth alimented even if we always try to put all the nesesary food in .
after we get our airedale and decide to feed her only with comercial food. So well Now the two dog eat comercial food .
we start with pro plan , after we give them royal canine till now that we moved from our country and here there's no royal canine. So well I choose after saw the other food Eukanuba because I always heard that it was a good aliment specially for all that hair maintenance ( and well the truth my pointer now have a better coat , and my airedale too , and like they say that hair show the health ... ) .
well But like I saw it's really nor the perfect aliment , far away from that .
saje give a good web to analise food ingredient and I was analising eukanuba ones .
But anyway seing that in USA you have soooo many diferent food marks , I was wondering if it will be possible to found a rigth food here where the variety is less .
well I;m planning to go see everywhere and make a list of the marks . Almost all are american , there's one who is from here that I;m gonna copy the ingredient .
well But I would like to know if you can help me telling me wich is better ????
Or if there's no one what can I do ????
The marks I remember for the momen't is O ' roy , eukanuba, dog chow, pro plan , pedigree , science diet
Thnks a lot =OP

None of the brands you listed are of particularly good quality, but if you have no other choices, Eukanuba would be the least objectionable as far as ingredients go.

Preparing your own food would be a better alternative though. :)

Royal Canin is definitely better than Eukanuba.

As for making your own food, don't rely on just any recipe you can find on the internet, many of them are not properly balanced and may have not enough or too much of certain ingredients. Following a tried and proven recipe, such as for example from Dr. Pitcairn's book would be a better idea. :)
