My mom's birthday is coming up in about 2 weeks and I still don't know what to get her!! She says a book is fine, but I don't want to get her just a book! My parents never want anything for their birthdays  Does anyone have any idea on what to get her? She LOVES gardening!

Maybe to go along with a book you could find a very pretty bookmark. Possibly something with some meaning to her (garden and growing related?) or a quote which would say something you want to say.

Does she have all the cool nifty gardening tools that are out there? There are lots of more unusual tools that typical gardeners don't have that could come in handy for her.

You could take some nice photographs of Gipsy in the garden, maybe posing with the flowers.. or possibly just the flowers themselves.. and get in cahoots with your dad to make prints of them and then frame one or two.

Good idea with the money plant Grammy. That's what I did last year for my mother ... she loves going whale watching, so we added dates, times and destination into the mix of enough money for a weekend trip ... but she had to pay to get herself there. :yikes: Of course my dad contributed being the driver and chaperone. :)

There are so many neat garden decorations now. Especially with all the solar lights. I love all the options.

I got my mom a couple art books for her birthday last year and she really seemed to like them.

How about a gift certificate to a local spa for a manicure or a pedicure? You can't go wrong with a gift of pampering!:)

Hehe thanks for the ideas! :) I found some pretty terracotta (sp?) decoration on amazon that she likes (she walked in on me last night pff) & To go along with it I'm thinking about getting her a certificate to the "Palmen Garten" which are beautiful gardens in the middle of Frankfurt!
I like the idea of a money plant, but the only problem is that we don't have one euro bills! We only have 5 euro and up in bills! We have 1 & 2 Euro Coins!

Thanks for the great ideas! :D

Heres a link to the garden's website if anyones interested!
