I don't consider rats (at least the domestic kind) vermin. They're actually pretty clean (at least my rats were) That said, I don't let any of my pets near or in my mouth. Ever

Nah, I don't consider them vermin either.

I have rats as pets, & they're actually quite nice little creatures.
They're always wanting inside your mouth.
They clean themselves A LOT, and obviously they don't think we are able to clean ourselves, so they need to do it for us.
