Yeah, I missed the other thread until after this one had taken off. I don't get on Chaz every day so I'm not current on who has jumped down who's throat, and I don't always take the time to fully research a poster before asking them questions or giving them suggestions.
I didn't read the original thread at first either. but after reading just the first page of this thread and learning that there was a first thread... I went there first.

Actually many times I have asked for help or advice on certain things and only a few people reply, and I give input on those replies then the thread dies and I am left with no info I can use or very little info that I CAN use but I am still wanting more info. The forums only get excited when there is controversy, or an established member posting, not many people are willing to help the newbies out, and really the forums search function is impossible for me to use, it's incredibly confusing to find anything off it.
That may be cause everyone has an opinion, but not everyone has the answer to your specific question. Typically polls and questions that everyone can answer get to be big.

I have read some of your threads but if I don't have an answer there is no point for me to post.

It went great. I was assuming some stillborns, but none, and even at almost 2 weeks old, their is no signs of problems, with mother or pups, she is producing tons of milk, and no pups look to be the runt.
Awesome :D Do you know weights? They look huge to me, I just wanna get a better idea of size :rofl1:

Ehh, this thread has really put me off of this forum. A rash of threads almost EXACTLY like this one drove me away from the forum I was on prior to this one. It's just...Ugly. I can't imagine what people that just join think once they look at this. They are probably thinking...wow I know better than to let them know much about me.
Thats why I stretched the truth about what happened, never really saying it wasn't my fault, but just the last forum scared me and I didn't know what to say, either way really your going to get put down even if you own up to it truthfully, so I should have not lied as long as I did, and I'm sorry. I just hope that I'm able to stay on the forum without people saying, thats the girl who lied to us, we hate her, but she fixed her mistakes and the pups are happy healthy and fixed, but she did what she did and she should be hanged!

This. Or, sometimes I will reply to a thread, but since I just use the "new posts" button, I miss when there is another reply, so I am unaware there was a question asked again since I never made it back to the thread.

Remember, when you post something on a forum, ANYBODY can see it. So if you are going to lie on one forum, you better stick to the same story on another. Although I am sure you have learned that by now, :rofl1:

Most people on this forum are very forgiving. Some of us will be skeptical for a while (I fall into that category) and a few will always remain suspicious.

My advice is to be honest in the future and do your best by your dogs (which it sounds like you are planning to do) We all start somewhere.

What I have learned from this thread is that I need to come up with a good drama surrounding my dogs and maybe my threads won't be ignored so much. I have a **** cute video up and only two comments *whine*

I was just responding to you saying that giving advice and educating people doesn't always work, because it does work if solid advice is given without a huge amount of hooha, I personally learnt a lot from reading forums, not this one in particular but another one. I learnt the back yard breeding was a bad thing, and believe it or not I didn't know that before, if every one had gone off at me saying HOW THE BLEEP did you not know it was bad etc, I probably would have shut down and ignore them. It might be a sign of weak character, but I think it's a matter of also trying to protect ones self from harm, it's really a natural instinct. When my parents found out Roxy was pregnant, they didn't really care to fret about it because they didn't know it was a bad thing. I didn't know either, but eventually that pregnancy is what drove me to come out and look for more info, and if I was here, 2 years ago asking questions, I would probably have been flamed too. Luckily though, I did not post, and I did not get flamed and eventually I wanted more and more info. If I didn't come around, I probably would still be thinking BYB's were ok to buy from, yet now I am making an informed decision on a pups lineage and the status of it's parents Ch. status in whatever sport. 2 years ago I didn't even know about registered dogs...sad but true.

My point here is just because there a few examples of something not working, there may just be a lot more examples of said situation working, and working well.

JessLough and others that are interested.

The smallest pup is 1.4
The largest pup is 1.8

They are almost 2 weeks old, for the breeds that are in them, does that sound about right?

Ah but posting and asking for advice is a very different thing. That trying to educate someone who isn't looking for education, or doesn't know they need it.

I think so! You can never really know the size that they will end up, since they are such a mix, and will likely be SO different when they grow up, but it sounds good to me :) A small size difference if always good too, not like one is 2lbs and another is 1lb

Understood, however someone else's unwanted advice could be life changing for another person if put out correctly...the chances are slim, but I was one of those slim chances and by the looks of things at least 2 other people that commented in this thread also learnt from forums that breeding was not a good thing. Chances are they learnt it from posts floating around that POSSIBLY the OP of THOSE threads didn't care to know about. (Metaphorically speaking here)

Wow…..

Just Wow….

Glad that seems to be over, and honestly…. I am not excusing telling fibs…. BUT I can understand why one would…

I debated even sharing Di's story for fear of this response….

I know on some forums I have been on, there have been people very good at coming across to their forum friends as highly respected members of the dog community, when in *real life* that is somewhat debatable….

Just because we have not "hunted" out lies on every member does not mean some do not do it… Or are just very good at it….

I think this was an honest case of someone wanting to not get kicked hard so she tried to make it sound a bit better… Not a good idea, but it does not mean she is a horrible person, just one trying, perhaps too hard to make a better impression…

I hope you tough it out, it will get better….

I'm not saying lying is a good thing, I'm saying that I understand why she did it. Like I said, I would think about lying, if I knew what would happen when I posted something like this.

I think Adrienne has given the most advice. Maybe you came across a little strong, but you feel strongly about it too.

This.

When I first joined and posted about my awesome new wolf hybrid puppy, I got my panties in a wad because it (of course) turned into a debate about wolf hybrids. Because I really wanted to fit in here, I lied and said I rescued her instead of the truth, which was that I got her from a BYB. I did later tell the truth, but the point is that I felt the need to lie in the first place.

I try very hard to never lie (except by omission, which I think is everyone's right) and absolutely HATE being lied to. But I did it, and that's that. Fortunately, people on here were very understanding. I stuck around, and I'm better educated for it.

There are people on this board who would give the community of Salem in the 1690's a real run for its money.

There are also a lot of really nasty insides showing in this thread, and that makes me sad :(
