So Mike and Athena had their very first play session ever today (had 3 in fact!). Now that she's bigger Mike isn't so tweaked out by her and wanting to kill her. They had been playing through the kennel bars for about 2 or 3 weeks (Mike in the kennel play bowing and chasing and Athena racing around the outside) and this past week they have been on leash together. Well today I decided to give it a shot and see how they would play together and it went great!

I don't have a fenced in back yard and since Mike is not allow offleash they had to play in the 10'x10' outdoor kennel. Not much space but they still had fun!

And an adorable video of Mike yelling at Athena because she wouldn't play. He's a very talkative boy!

Thank you!

And yes, he ALWAYS has something to say. He's one of the most vocal dogs I've met. Unfortunately it puts a lot of people off and his "happy howl" makes folks pee themselves . . . he's just so misunderstood!!

in the sixth picture does her actually have his neck in his mouth like playfully?
No he has his whole head over her neck, no open mouth. Though he does mouth her a tiny bit, he hasn't done a full open mouthed pin yet . . . though I'm sure once they get more comfortable it will come ;)

Awesome, Sis! Today must've been a day for miracles because Cocoa (the Boudreaux bred bitch who is very DA) played off leash with Whiskey for the first time as well! We'd been slowly introducing them for the past few months when Cocoa first started playbowing on the chain when I walked Whiskey past.

And what a huge step for Mike!

I can't even express how happy I am about this! Not only have we not had an "incident" in around 3 weeks, but now he's actually PLAYING with Athena! He also really enjoys coming to work with me. We put him in the furthest run (we have 9 yards/runs total at work) and let him hang out and watch the other dogs play and he is not only happy (his tail wags a mile a minute) but he seems to be gaining more and more confidence around dogs, thus his leash aggression and fear-based DA is melting away . . . I couldn't be any happier!!!! Things are looking up for this boy, right now!

Plus Wally is psyched because now that these two fools can amuse each other it means he gets me all to himself. LOL!

And good for Whiskey and Cocoa. You must be PSYCHED!! What ever happened to the people down the street who thought they might want Whiskey (was it Whiskey or another dog, I can't remember right now, **** vodka is clouding my memory)?

LOL! I'm in MA and I'm drinking it with Diet Pepsi. Though I should probably STOP drinking it and just go to bed, I have a lot to do tomorrow!

LOL. Mike must've heard us on the phone that day & thought "Oh ****, I'm in trouble!".:lol-sign:

Whiskey spent the day down there one day & everything went great. There's still a chance he might make the move, but the guy got stuck working 16 hours a day (he does shift work & it's sometimes daytime & sometimes the night) due to a plant turnaround. As soon as that is over, they are going to take him for a few days & see how it goes. :)
