I was browsing on petfinder for BCs and BC mixes and I came across this puppy. She just melted me when I saw her face! I want her!

This pup has been on my mind! When I was walking I was thinking about her. . .then I was thinking about her when I came home. . .and I find myself going back to her Petfinder page repeatedly.
I showed her to my mom and she loves her too. I was joking around about driving up to get her and she said I should ask my grandmother. . .but I'm pretty sure she was just joking. I only have like $20 of my own right now (thanks to Christmas shopping). . .and I think the adoption fee is like $100 anyway. But gosh I love that puppy!

I soooo want to but this is just one thing that sucks about being a minor. We're about 4 hours from them.

She was totally joking and she THOUGHT I was too. *gah.
She said that any money that isn't going to the animals we already have is going to my horse that we are getting in the beginning of next year-which is my lifelong dream!-unless I changed my mind. :yikes:

Well, my mom and I finally sat down and had a serious conversation. She said when our financial situation starts to look up a bit (we're expecting things to start to even out next month or so) if she's still there we'll try to go and take a trip up to get her. I was leaping for joy but then I realized a pup like that would be gone by then. I hope so much I end up with her. I just feel like there's a deep connection when I looked in her eyes. Just. . .this feeling has only come from my own dogs.

Keep in mind, too, Virginia, that there are thousands of BCs needing homes in the Southwest U.S. alone. You're bound to find another dog that you connect with, though I definitely know the feeling you're talking about. I've had 3 wonderful rescue dogs slip through my fingers.

I really really hope I find another one I connect with so much. Even more so I wish I could have this little girl. It just feels so right. . .but there are other barriers and I have a fear it won't work out.
I'm looking at the ones listed right now. . .very cute faces but not the same feeling. My mind is bouncing between plain logic that shee'll probably be gone by the time we're properly prepared and the voice in my head saying "There is always a way to do anything." like selling things of mine instead of waiting around for $$ to come to us (that's expected but so far away).
This is just turning into babbling.

It isn't just babbling, I've had the *exact* same thoughts and it makes perfect sense.

I believe you've just confirmed that there is a way to get what you want But, something to keep in mind is that puppies are expensive, and I'm not talking about adoption fees. If you think you'll be able to feed and care for the pup, I say go for it. It's not every day you find a dog that you connect with like that.
