I weighed the puppy today and could have cried. 30 pounds! She needs to stop growning. She's getting big so fast. She is still really skittish and fearful, but daily trips to the dog park seem to be helping. Although, she will only play with pugs, chihuahuas, and mini doxies. She's doing great on the leash. SHe can sit and spin in circles. She's doing okayish at house training. We're still working on that.

here she is at 6 weeks and 5lbs (my little furry bag of sugar). I love how she curls her hind feet...they look like little mouse feet.

and more recent , taking up the whole pillow at 14 weeks.

Her eyes have changed color:( they are no longer bright blue, but they are a very nice gray/green:).

Whatever anger I felt towards my boyfriend for picking up a dog at the flea market is gone. She is such a sweetheart and I just adore her.

She's so pretty! And yes, keep taking her to the dog park. If possible, take her to a lot of other places, too. The more places you take her to and the more situations you expose her to, the better.

She's so cute at the dog park. Whenever she gets overwhelmed I come down to her level and we play mini-fetch. I throw the ball (pine cone, stick, whatver) about two feet away and she pounces on it and brings it back. I toss the ball futher and further away from me. It seems to calm her down to give her something to do.

All of the dog park regulars know her and her issues. The first time she ran out from under my legs after a running pack everyone cheered for her and one woman shouted, "May had a break through!''. Of course, this scared her and she came right back to my feet. But still, it's nice to have a group of people that support her.

I don't know how to treat her at the dog park though. She wants me to be around her all the time. She'll only go near another dog if I walk with her. She's only go about 20 feet away from me (on a brave day) before getting the 'where's mommy? PANIC!' look and running back to the safety of my legs. Should I just ignore her? I feel like I'm mother hen when we're out. I don't want her to feel afraid, but I don't want to baby her, either
