Hi All!! My name is Jen and I recently ( a couple months ago) adopted a saint bernard pup (he was 6 weeks at the time) from the local humane society. Since adopting him, I decided I wanted to work with animals, so I got a job at said humane society and became an "adopter" basically, I help people choose an animal that they would like and fill out the paperwork and get them on their way. Since working at the shelter, I decided i LOVE working with animals, so i decided to go to school to become a vet tech, ill be done with school end of november and hopefully will be on the way to a new career!
Anyways, my pup is now almost 6 months old and growing SO FAST!! Were not 100% sure hes a purebred, he looks exactly like a saint, except his nose is too long ? maybe just a backyard breeder breeding crappy quality!! The man that turned the dogs over said he found them running loose outside (reugar and another pup, probably from the same litter) and he knows a person in the neighborhood that has a female saint who breeds her sometimes, so he said the pups probably came from their, but the woman didnt want to get in trouble for letting her puppies run loose so she said they werent hers. who knows...but i got a puppy out of it!! haha he is the SWEETEST boy in the whole world!! i mean yea ,sure he gets ornery sometimes and gets himself a couple time outs here and there, but overall hes the best behaved dog ive ever had! he is currently the only dog we have, were debating getting another one since reugar absolutely LOVES other dogs and we would like him to have a playmate, but i think im going to wait a while, im still not 100% sure what my living situation is going to be, so i dont want to go getting more pets until i know for sure. right now we live in our own house (my boyfriend and i, my 2 cats and 1 dog) and have 10 acres of land and were surrounded by farms and woods. jerads parents recently decided to expand their business to florida and mississippi ( they own a painting company) so jerad might be doing quite a bit of travelling for that and im not sure i want to stay here in the house by myself, i might get a little apartment, and i dont want to have to cram 2 cats and 2 saints (if i get another dog it will be a saint for sure, reugar just has the best tempermant ever) into the apartment. anyways, i cant seem to figure out how to put a picture of my pup into my signature or my "avatar", so if anyone wants to help with that it would be greatly appreciated!! sorry to have rambelled so much!
