Wow, so....the man came by today with his girlfriend. He brought two of the most stunning Great Danes i've ever seen. They are obviously extremely well cared for and loved, though Luna could stand to gain a few pounds. We talked some and then he started bringing their things in from the car (FOUR giant expensive, well-made dog beds, two for inside two for outside, holy crap!) After he brought everything in he started to cry so I handed him some tissues and left the room while he said goodbye to them. He brought everything, from nail trimmers, to two extra bags of food, to thei vet records (thank god). After that he came in to the room I was in and said he had to go before he totally lost it. I felt sooo bad, he had obviously been bawling his heart out, I could hear him from the other room. Poor guy. And then...he and his girlfriend left. And now I have two, giant, gorgeous great danes. I'm giving them some time to get used to their surroundings, they both looked sooo sad when their owner left. Wow, they are....magical, like there are two unicorns living in my house now. I can't really believe its real. Anyways, I know what you guys want, less talk, more pictures. So without further ado, I give you Kaya and Luna!

This is Kaya, said Kay-Uh. She is 20 months old

This is Luna, she is 22 months old

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. Now I'm having a hard time not crying for that poor guy. I can't imagine . . . Poor Kaya has the saddest look in her eyes. And that sad, sad face on Luna. But they will be safe and well loved with you, whatever their future holds for them.

Wow. We couldn't have asked for more perfect dogs. They listen extremely well, don't jump up, watch curiously but don't run after the cats, they are VERY gentle, wow, just....wow. I am soooo in love with these dogs, I know it was meant to be. I cannot imagine NOT having a great dane in my life, even though its only been about an hour and a half now since I got them....its impossible to remember what it was like before. They are soooo well behaved, and I went over their vets records, they have never missed an appointment, the guy even took them to the vet yesterday to make sure they were totally healthy and ready to be rehomed to the tune of $190!!

Gorgeous dogs!! I love danes, they are wonderful dogs. A silly question: Did he bring that Innova? If he did that kind of amazes me - a lot of people don't know about good foods. Sorry for the stupid question lol  .

Yes he did, I was amazed too, most people think the crap sold at the vets office is "the BEST".

They are both beautiful! I feel so bad for the guy - his heart must be breaking but I'm sure knowing they are with someone who will love them and take good care of them gives him some ease.

I have found that Great Danes are truly lovable creatures. I have had the joy over the years of having had 2 of them - Samson was fawn and Elgin was harlequin. Both of them thought they were lap dogs. :) This breed will always hold a special place in my heart.

They are beautiful. Great Danes are awesome dogs. I love to watch them run. So proud so free. big gentle giants. I miss mine so much. Duke was a brindle, died 11/2004 and Sampson was a Harlequin, he was stolen in 2002. It is a breed that will always be in my heart. Such big babies. I feel so sorry for their owner. That must have killed his soul to leave them. You will never have another dog like them, enjoy every moment.

The man just called to make sure everything was going ok, and see if I had any questions(I didn't) and to tell me that if they nudge me at night it means they have to go potty. Poor guy, I feel so bad for him, i'm feeling guilty for being so happy with Luna and Kaya.
