As many of you know I've been through a separation and then returned Chick to her breeder as I work long days and it was too much for a puppy, combined with her being on a breeder contract and I don't see myself having the time to properly care for a pregnant/ new puppy situation with my change in life...

Well I've been on the hunt for a while for an older dog that could be around cats and handle the days I'm gone 9 hours, and this is the result...

Gizmo is an older boy, 7 years old, whose elderly owner passed on, his breeds are unknown so any fun guesses welcome! He's crate trained, altered and very well behaved! He asks out when needed and is an absolute easy boy to have around, he met my grandson today and seemed great though I was careful, and is ok with the neighbour dogs when out for a walk... He goes next week to my vet for a look over.

I can't even put in words how nice it feels to have a dog laying beside me again! In the last picture he's loving my daughter...

He's adorable! I hope you enjoy each other's company for many years to come :)

As for breeds, Peke/Pom/something else mayhaps?

Oh he is very cute!! I'm so glad you found a dog who will work out. It's terrible to have a dogless household. I think he definitely looks like a Gizmo too, LOL.

I'd say peke/Pom. They're common where I used to live and a lot look just like Gizmo. He is very cute, so glad you've found each other :) it sucks being dogless!

I'm so happy for you. I'm also happy that Gizmo has a loving home with you; too many older pets are unwanted and just want to be loved.

I agree with peke/pom, but definitely a cutie!

He's a very good boy, he sits very nicely waits for you to clip his leash on when he wants to go outside, comes and sits in front of me when he needs to go outside until I get up and then runs to the door. He knows shake a paw lol it's too cute! He's also very good in his crate
Waiting to go out....
