I love all the mastiff breeds. The only thing that holds me back is doubting myself with whether or not I'd be able to handle such a dog, and I consider myself quite dominant over my dogs. Breeds like filas, tosa inus, boerboels, presas, and neos. Worse case scenario is getting yourself into something you cannot handle.

I am smitten with Mastiffs, all of them. Although my personal favorite is the Alpine Mastiff better known as the Saint Bernard. What I love about the Mastiff breeds is the wide variety over all of the different types. You have the harder temperments from the breeds like the Fila's and the love all, ultimate gentle giants the Newfoundlands. As a group they share the giant size and working drives, but on an individual level they can differ greatly.

My neighbor just adopted a gorgeous Bullmastiff who is a sweetie pie.. I just posted pictures of him!

Oh and I loooove Boerboels as well, amazing dogs from what I've heard, never had the pleasure of meeting one though.
