I'm just being curious right now. I've been thinking about different people and their relationships, and wondering what the "norm" is nowadays. I know of people who are single and happy, couples who are unhappy, and more. It's interesting to see what all the different perceptions are on marriage.

Hubby and I have been together for 9 years. We started dating in '98, got married in '03 and are still very happy together.

How about you? Please wait until I post the poll

Single and unsure about marriage in the future. I can see myself as being an old person with just a bunch of dogs... who knows? If the right person comes along, then I'd consider marriage, I suppose.

I'm common-law. We'll get married eventually I'm sure. Steve tells everyone I'm his wife but I don't.

I'm happily married. We lived together for awhile and didn't really want to get married at first but in the end decided to tie the knot.

Oooh, good question! I would add it to the poll, but I don't know how to edit those. Could a mod help me out and add that question? Pretty please?

I would like to add/share a tiny story about living together while the subject is brought up :) (my husband and I did for a few months before I agreed to marry him)

My cousin and his girl lived together VERY happily for 11 years. They were the happiest couple I had EVER seen in my life. No kids, neither wanted them. After 11 years of BLISS, my cousin decides he NEEDS to be married, she didn't really want to, but she said yes because he REALLY wanted to. They got married, and within 6 months they were fighting horribly and got divorced...........a BITTER divorce where they fought over EVERYTHING! It seems that the paper wrecked them.........it could be a coincidence, but I don't think so.

I don't know why I had to share this here, but there it is :D

I'm under common-law :)

Aaron and I have been together for four and a half years, living together for 4. We've talked marriage, but being 25 and 27, we're waiting. We have plans to buy a house within the next few years and probably once we get settled into our own home we'll tie the knot. Who knows, I'm not in any rush!
