thats not thoughtless thats plain vindictive, he knew who the dog belonged to and sold it anyway...thoughtless would be someone walking away with the dog thinking he was free or something, but the fact this man knowingly sold the dog...*growls* i wouldnt be quite so nice as the woman in this story...

I hope you wouldn't Foxy! You're too great a mommy to your Chis for you to let someone get away with that!

That story.. is HORRIBLE. What a nasty, vindictive, uncaring person. Legally, the dog is hers, and should be returned to her. And WHY wasn't the dog wearing a collar and tags!?!?

Is this for real???

How dumb are people. A) who just sells a dog they find? and B) who buys a dog from a yard sale - are people really that thick? "oh hunny, lets go and see what bargains we can find - some dishes, some tupperware, oh, and a dog"

Some people need sterilising - they're bringing down the collective IQ of the world.

Obviously it was a "Tupperdog" party... Easy storage solutions for left over food!

My question is - why was the dog running loose around a neighborhood with apparently no tags? Maybe he went to a better home.

It says the dog got out of its harness and took off, it doesn't sound like she let the dog roam loose, it was just an accident that it got off. Perhaps the usual collar and tags didn't fit comfortably with the harness? *shrugs*

No matter how it happened this is very sad. I hope she gets the dog back. I also feel sorry for the woman who bought the dog (yes, it is a sad fact that people often buy dogs from yard/garage sales). She probably adores the dog now too and would most likely feel terrible about what's happened. I hope noone thinks this is her fault.

Actually if I saw a dog in a garage sale and someone was just selling it like
that for 15$ you can bet that that dog would be coming home with me. I would much rather take the dog home and find it a good home than let some terrible owner pick up a cheap dog.
(if you ever go to flea markets some of them do have dogs for sale in crates, puppies, adults etc, its not unusual. Though usually they are byb...)

Clearly the neighbor is a bleep head, how could anyone think selling someones dog they knew was acceptable, does this guy have a zero iq or what.
At least he feels guilty, she probably never would have found out if he had not confessed.
I wonder if this other lady who got the dog took him to the vet if they would check for a microchip... It does not say he had a chip in the article though.
