Wow. What a nice surprise to know that I was remembered.

I'm online very rarely these days, because:

  • My home computer -- a laptop -- fell off the desk mysteriously and the LCD was smashed. I'm now piping video through an ancient, terrible CRT box monitor which is almost as bad as the smashed LCD.
  • With this terrible computer, I am trying to finish up my applications for PhD programs. I figured "Better overnighted than never." I'm applying to 8 programs which takes a lot of time. (And money! Oof!)
  • I was offered a new, AWESOME job and am in the process of quitting my current job. This would be less of an issue if I were a waitress, say, but with therapy clients, it takes some time to wrap things up and transfer people to new therapists.
  • On top of all that, my current department was scheduled to move to a building across town way before I gave my 4 weeks notice, and so I have had to pack up my office. Twice.
  • I got deathly ill which, effectively, k-boshed my big socialization efforts with McGee for the last 3 weeks. I feel really badly about this and she has started barking at people when we're out and about. THIS IS NOT OKAY.
  • I'm preparing to bring my boyfriend home for Christmas for the First. Time. Ever.

Other than that, not too much going on. You?

Seriously, though, thank you for remembering and thinking of me. Just for that, I'll have to post some new pictures of my dogs over the weekend.

How are you?

hahaha sounds busy! I hope McGee learns to keep quite...and i think you should punish her for this unacceptable behavior by taking lots and lots of pics. (and Milo ought to be "punished" for not setting a better example...or something...)

I agree! Pictures, updates! How big is she now? She must be getting big, lol, not that she can get all that big! (Comparing her to my 140 pound Great Dane!)

Good to see you back, and I can't wait for pics!

Hee! I will try to do a photo shoot this weekend. McGee's ears are now standing straight up and she is HUGE! Well, okay, a couple of weeks ago when she had her last shots, she was 4 pounds, 0.0 ounces. She's still small compared to Milo's 12 pounds, but she can't dart in and out underneath his legs like she used to.

She's gone from the creamy white that she was to a nice reddish-honey color. I also think her once-black nose is lightening up and is going to be more liver-colored like her mother's. All in all, she's an adorable, good girl.

She's so much easier than Milo ever was! Which is great, considering how crazy my life is right now.

Or, maybe it's just the wonder of having two dogs who get along. I had always fantasized that it would be this great -- and it really is!

It sure is! Now imagine having 5 dogs who get along that well! ;)!

I'm glad everything's going so well, and I can't wait to see some pics! (Oh, and I LOVE it when dogs ears stick straight up!)

Wow, you've been busy!

Congratulations (on the new job). Sorry for the loss (computer). Hope you get well soon (being sick). Good luck (at the new job, with McGee's barking, with the boyfriend).

As a boyfriend that had to go through the whole "first time meeting" thing, my advice to both of you is that he should be himself, but be as respectful as possible. It will probably be weird for your parents to see you being affectionate in front of them so you might want to take it easy for the first couple of days. The more interested in your family and active that he is, the better it will go.
