Our 9 year old mutt fell off our bed while playing today, and started screaming 
My husband rushed her to the vet. It was very busy so he had to wait for them to squeeze her in. While waiting a woman came in with her cat that she'd had for 11 years. She was going to have it put down because it kept peeing all over her apartment. I guess she just kept going on about how the cat had ruined her carpet, walls, several pieces of furniture, etc. It made me sad because I remember my vet telling me how many cats were put down just because of litter box issues that owners didn't want to deal with.
Well I guess one of the other people in the waiting room that has 4 cats and two chihuahua's, kept the cat
As for our dog, no breaks or fractures and vet thinks she just pulled a muscle. She's doing much better now and putting weight on the leg again.
