Ok, Mack started out as my dog but has recently went to a different more experienced owner due to severe aggression problems. We got Mack when he was 7 months old from what I believed was a good breeder, who turned out not to be so good afterall. He had no social skills, had only been outside 2 times (this includes going potty), no housebreaking skills, and only one puppy shot. He was so sweet to begin with, always wanted to be by us, was always really gentle and sweet with our daughter. He was nuetered around 9 months and we thought the few housebreaking and aggression problems he had would go away, but they didn't. For awhile he was good (about a month) and then the housebreaking problems came back worse than they ever were. Then a little before his first birthday he bit me very bad. He stayed at the shelter for a day and my husband bought an outside run and brought him back, desperate to work with him. About a week later Mack bit me agian and caused me to get serious stitches. This time we knew he had to go, and a man stepped up and offered to help him. Well things got worse there and he ended up going to the animal control, by their request (either the guy dropped him off or they would come and get him). Well unfortunetely, or maybe fortunetely, Mack was euthanized yesterday as they felt he was too unpredictable to try and adopt out agian. He was such a good dog, and it's a shame he had to have such a short life, but that's what happens when you go with a backyard breeder. PLEASE don't buy from backyard breeders, you might be getting a deal at first but in the long run these puppies are not a deal. RIP our sweet boy, go join your sister Shelby she's waiting for you.

Julie, I'm very sorry you had to go through all this. What a hard issue to face. You know you gave Mack a home thats just about as good as it gets, and for that you should be proud.

We know it had to be done, he was too unstable to go to another home. It just sucks he had to suffer because stupid people can't be responsible. They already offered us a new puppy too out of Mack's brother (who has the same problems as Mack) and another female (who is only 8 months old). This people are just so unreal they make me sick!

Julie, I am so sorry for the feelings you have right now but this was not your fault. You did not give up, Mack is much happier and much better off now. He must have been very stressed living the way he was. He will stay with Shelby and when one day you will all meet again.

RIP MACK!

Oh Julie - you've had such a tough time with your dogs these past few months. At least we can feel better that Mack and Shelby have each other now . . . sitting here sniffling at the store . . . gotta find a napkin before my mascara runs down my face and someone comes in :(

So sorry to hear about Mack. He lived a short life but I know how much you loved him and tried to help. He is in heaven with Shelby looking over you now.

Awwww... totally know how you feel. My very first dog (When I was living on my own) had to be put down due to aggression issues. He would attack anything that wasn't me. He made my ex-fiance get stitches in his hand. Ah... poor Rillee...

Rest In Peace.
