Lucas is gone (RIP Lucas)

I know I wasn't going to come back for a while, but there's been big problems with Lucas today. I don't know what happened, but he's gone. RIP Lucas. He was only 7 years old.

I was just talking to Richie yesterday about Lucas' problems and how I was really worried, but yesterday he was hurting and sleeping an aweful lot. He had peed in the house again and vomited a bit of bile, but I didn't think too much of it. I was going to discuss more options for controling his pain with my vet.

But, today, I don't know. Something was really wrong with him. I had to put him to sleep. He was just in so much pain! My vet agreed that it'd probably be the best thing to do for him.

I woke up and he was crying and he wouldn't get up. I kept trying to get him up but he'd scream anytime I went near his back and and he wouldn't let me touch him. He was acting really weird. I don't know what was wrong with him, but he just........ I don't know how to describe it. It was just really strange.

My roommate and I had to get a sheet and carry him to the car to get him to the vet. On the way he threw up in my car, he's never thrown up in my car. IDK what was wrong with him, my vet said she thinks he may have been poisoned! I don't know how, he's never out of my sight when I'm home!!!

I just, can't believe he's gone. I wanted him to stay with me for a while longer. I don't want him to be gone. I keep thinking he's just in the yard or out for a walk. IDK. I can't stop crying. I just am in shock.

I thought you guys deserved to know.

Oh no! BB....I am just so terribly sorry. You poor thing. This is so hard, isn't it. I'm so sad that he had such a hard time. It is not your fault. You did everything you could. It is the best thing for him now, but I know that doesn't help too much when you miss him so much. You will, in time feel more peaceful and accepting of this. But for a while, it's going to be tough. Do come and talk to us whenever you need to. Most of us know what you're going through hon. So very sorry.
