louisville dog show?

Nevermind, i found out.
its today through Sunday.
i am going Saturday! hoping to meet some bedlington owners. i am very interested in showing bedlingtons
and hubby wants to see some great danes.
this will be the only dog show i have ever been to where i am not "working"
yippee for me!
anyone else going? with louisville's new dog ordinance i wouldn't blame you if you didnt want to support it any way.

I will be leaving in a few hours to head to Louisville.
I was VERY much against going at the beginning....BUT it's very important to me to support the clubs who ARE FIGHTING this ordinance.
We are taking extra precautions to protect the dogs but the most important thing we can do WHILE AT THE SHOWS ARE:
DON'T SPEND ANY MONEY INSIDE L'VILLE/JEFFERSON COUNTY (food, gas, motel, etc, unless it's an emergency.) The only way to make an impact and get the powers that be to take notice is thru $$$$!!!!!
We are staying south of L'ville and I have made sure we have plenty of supplies and snacks, as well as having the van filled up w/gas.
Look for me if you get the time....I'll be showing an Australian Cattle Dog (client's dog) Sat and Sun...and I'll be hanging around the Rottie rings and the Rally rings too....

i live in louisville, (close enough) and i beleive they have made some provisions for the dog show. 1, the dog show is on state, not city owned property so technicly there is no law AT the show. also, the dog pounds and city are working with the show to make sure no lost show dogs are being spayed neutered. i dont think the city will be altering any dogs until after the show to make sure of this. the biggest thing is to report your dog missing immedeatly, the show will notify the city, who will notify the different pounds to be on the look out. i could be wrong, but this is how i read it in the paper.
i might go saturday, i have an ATV race on sunday to preare for, if i get done in time i would like to come to the show. ive watched a bunch on tv and would really like to see some of the hounds in person

i'll be wearing some baggy black knit pants. sounds trashy but they are actually a type of dress pant that is "in" now day.
and a yellow shirt with hello kitty riding on a crocodile. LOL you cannot miss me

Just Returned from L'ville
Sorry, Rabbits, I left before I read your last post on the show.
It was great. The main reason for my going was to see friends I hadn't seen for a couple of years and when I found out they were going...just had to go!
Plus I ended up having a dog to show on Saturday..yippee!!!!
It was a great production as usual. The clubs are to be commended for all of the hard work that goes into putting THIS HUGE cluster together.
I'm pleased to report Saturday went pretty well! Although I did the "concrete dive" (fell in the ring!)...LOL Ah, occupational hazards!
Now to get ready for the Franklin shows this coming weekend!
