We are in central Ohio and have seen a huge number of ticks in some of our favorite walking trails. In one walk, we counted ten on us and even though we thought we checked Osa, we found two dead ones in her bed the next day and I ended up getting bit in the head by one.
It seems like they are abundant this year, is this the case elsewhere?
Also, Osa ended up getting bit by one right in front of her ear this past weekend and since we use Advantix on her, we thought it would drop off. It didn't and when we went to take it off, it was still alive. It was one for a day or so but didn't fill up at all. I thought Advantix should have killed it.
