My boss liked them so much she's asked me to please decorate the OB and Peds floor too. I dread it cuz the nursery took me 3 nights to do.

Here's a pic of one of my favorite preemies I've ever cared for. There's no identifying info in this pic so I'm not breaching any confidentiality or anything. This pic is no different than the curtain being open and people walking up and down the halls peeking in. He's sooooooo cute. You can't really tell how little he is in this pic because I did a close up. He's just a little longer than a ruler.

I had a little help hanging all the stuff up. And last night I coaxed one of my coworkers into helping me color and glitter some of the snowman babies because I had so many of them to do. I had a bunch of candy canes all lined up on the bottom of each window... but people have been walking by and stealing them on me. It's obvious it's a decoration and yet they feel the need to steal them. It doesn't surprise me.. people steal whatever they can get their hands on. They even steal wall paintings and wall clocks from the hospital.

That baby is just so sweet. And he will open his eyes and look all around when there's a lot of stimuli in the unit. He hardly ever fusses. He has the sweetest parents. They told me last night that I was there favorite nurse and that they were bringing me a surprise in tonight...lol. I told them to stop complimenting me cuz they were gonna make my head swell and I wouldn't fit out the door...lol. I told them I was gonna steal some secret kisses and love on their baby. The momma was all smiles and said "you better love on my baby" I don't really kiss the babies.. I just pretend to.

The love and care you have for the babies in your care just shines right out of your posts about them. I wish you could meet my cousin. She went from Tenerife to China for a language course and in her extra time went to volunteer at a special needs nursery for orphaned, sick Chinese babies. It's changed her life.

Oh, how I wish you made the snowflakes for me......lol.
I could not for the life of me remember how to make them! I tried and tried and the more I tried I got aggrivated because snowflakes are simple and I was making them so difficult. Turns out that I think it was because I was trying to make them out of glittery felt and it was sooooo hard to cut the little notches out to get the detail of the snowflakes. So, hence the not so pretty snowflakes....lol. But, I think people can figure out they're suppose to be snowflakes... at least I hope so..lolol.
